MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. Militants controlled by the United States settlements had intercepted two convoys with medicines and food for the settlements, Hazmi and Chel. On Wednesday the official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia major-General Igor Konashenkov.
He said that from the Americans controlled the area left 300 fighters on pickup trucks to block the route Damascus – Deir ez-Zor. “The question is, how through the US-controlled zone in Et Tape leaked on the pickups about 300 militants ISIL (the former name of the grouping “Islamic state” – approx. TASS), tried to block the strategically important road to Damascus – Deir ez-Zor, which carries out the supply of Syrian troops and delivery of humanitarian assistance to the population, remains unanswered,” – said Konashenkov.
He added that the defense Ministry has new pictures of the US base in al-Tape strange for us army vehicles. “Only for reasons of military ethics, we do not publish fresh photographs of the US military base at al-Tape, plastered, to put it mildly, unusual for the US army pickup trucks with heavy machine guns DShK [Degtyarev-Shpagin large-caliber machine gun], and recoilless rifles”, – he said.
Konashenkov also suggested that “the American side to explain another fact of his selective blindness with regard to active them under the noses of the militants.”
