MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. The militants of the “Islamic state” (IG, a group banned in Russia) are no longer in Syria, funding sources for acquisition of weapons and ammunition, as well as the recruitment of mercenaries, the economic infrastructure of the country destroyed. This was declared on Tuesday to journalists the official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov.
“Russian aerospace forces destroyed economic infrastructure of ISIL (formerly ISIS – approx. TASS) in Syria and thwart any attempts of resumption of terrorists and illegal production and sale of hydrocarbons in Syria. Sources of funding for procurement of arms and ammunition, as well as the recruitment of mercenaries from ISIS in Syria not,” he said.
“The ongoing replenishment of terrorists from Iraq raises serious questions for the purposes of operations against terrorists carried out in the region by U.S. aircraft and the so-called international coalition,” – said the official representative of the Ministry of defense.
