In Nizhny Novgorod, the former spouses will divide the cat in court
NIZHNY NOVGOROD, October 9 — RIA Novosti. A resident of Nizhny Novgorod appealed to the court against ex-husband demanding the return of the cat, which he holds since last year, said on Monday the United press service of courts of General jurisdiction in Nizhny Novgorod region.
“A resident of Nizhny Novgorod appealed to the court against the former spouse for recovery of property from illegal possession, namely the cat. The woman pointed in support of the claim that the defendant holds the pet against her will, as the owner of the animal, without any legal grounds, and most likely does not provide proper care for them”, — stated in the message.
According to the press service, currently, the spouses live separately. Woman with Dec 2016 appealed to the ex-spouse with a request to return the cat, but he did not agree. Then she decided to go to court.
“The Lenin district court of Nizhni Novgorod has started consideration of a civil case for recovery of property from illegal possession, namely, cat… About the decision on the case will be announced later,” — adds a press-service.
