Turkey has said it is coordinating its actions in Syria with Russia

Idlib

The Prime Minister of Turkey Benali Yildirim stated that Turkey is working with Moscow to ensure security in the Syrian province of Idlib. It is reported by CNN Turk.

According to him, work is carried out in the framework of the creation of a security zone in the region.

22 September, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that under the agreement, Moscow will provide security outside the province, and Ankara — inside her.

The week before the guarantor countries of the Syrian peace settlement — Russia, Turkey and Iran — have agreed on the boundaries of the zone of de-escalation in Idlib province. The parties have pledged to deploy troops to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire in Idlib, Latakia, Hama and Aleppo. In addition, for monitoring in these areas should be created a single focal point.

In a joint statement it was reported that the creation of such zones is a temporary measure, which is designed for six months with possibility of extension.
