MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Videoconferencing destroyed in Syria, the influential field commanders of the “Islamic state” (IG, an organization banned in Russia), natives of the North Caucasus, including Abu Omar al-Shishani. This was announced on Saturday the official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov.

The elimination of the militants of the international terrorist group ISIS in the Syrian Arab Republic will continue,” — said Konashenkov.

The destruction of Abu Omar al-Shishani was announced in March last year. As stated by the press Secretary of the Pentagon Peter cook, “one of the leaders of the Islamic state Tarkhan Batirashvili Taimurazovich nicknamed Abu Umar al-Shishani was probably destroyed by air strike”.
