The white house told about the wishes of trump’s new Ambassador to Russia

Donald trump met the new head of the us diplomatic mission in Russia John Huntsman and wished him success “in the improvement” of U.S. relations with Moscow. Prior to that, President Vladimir Putin accepted the Ambassador’s credentials.

President Donald trump held a meeting with the new Ambassador of the USA in Russia John Huntsman and his wife, the press service of the White house.

The us President wished the diplomat good luck in restoration of Russian-American relations, when they come to Moscow.

“President Donald trump met with the Ambassador of the USA in Russia John Huntsman Jr. and his wife, Mary Kay huntsman to wish them success in their visit to Moscow to represent the interests of the United States and work on the improvement of our relations with Russia”, — stated in the message.

Other details of the meeting the head of state and head of the diplomatic mission, the White house has not led.

Earlier, on 3 October, President Vladimir Putin has accepted the credentials of John Huntsman and a further 19 new ambassadors, who came to work in Russia. The meeting was held in the Alexander hall of the Kremlin. The head of state noted that the diplomats get to work “in a very difficult period when the world situation becomes more and more troubled, in a world of tensions”.

The former Governor of Utah, Republican Jon huntsman was sworn in as Ambassador to Russia on September 29. Prior to his appointment as the new head of the us diplomatic mission in Russia led by the Atlantic Council research organization dealing with foreign policy issues. Huntsman’s political career began under Ronald Reagan, when in 1983 he became assistant to first adviser to the President of the United States. In his diplomatic career was the work on the posts of head of diplomatic missions of the USA in Singapore and China, Embassy in Beijing, he led from 2009 to 2011.
