The Pentagon is concerned about the interest of the allies to buy Russian s-400

“We have repeatedly stressed the importance of maintaining operational compatibility with the weapon systems of the US and other countries in the region in the implementation of programs of major military procurements. This compatibility is necessary to address common threats,” said Baldanza.

Yesterday, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that Saudi Arabia is showing interest in the purchase of anti-aircraft missile systems s-400 “Triumph”. The publication, citing its own informed sources indicated that the Russian side has prepared a package of contracts to supply the Saudis weapons and equipment of almost $ 3 billion. Later, the channel Sky News Arabia reported that Riyadh and Moscow agreed to supply missile systems to the Kingdom.

In September it became known about the signing of a contract between Russia and Turkey on the supply of s-400. On September 12 the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara has already made the first payment. In the Russian Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FSMTC) said that the supply of this system to the Turkish side “meets the geopolitical interests of the Russian Federation”.

In the United States reacted negatively to the conclusion of the Ankara contract for the supply of Russian AAMS. According to Erdogan, “some were angry” because of this contract. Thus, the Turkish leader noted that the Republic has taken and will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure their safety.
