It’s like the statue of Liberty in new York,” — said Eduard Rossel on a press-conference in Yekaterinburg on Friday.
He added that he supported the idea of construction on the pond of the temple on the water. “I do not understand. The Church can be and must be built, but the place is full where you can build. Why on the water?” said Rossel.
According to him, can also be installed near the Koltsovo airport monument dedicated to the people who contributed to the development of the Urals.

Earlier it was reported that by may, 2023 is planned in the area of the city pond to build a Cathedral in the name of St. Catherine.
As stated in the draft permit for the creation of land in water area of the pond, published on the website of the administration of Yekaterinburg, the construction is timed to the 300th anniversary of the city and could begin in may 2018.
