Saudi Arabia’s first woman died-the driver, media reported

DUBAI, 5 Dec — RIA Novosti. Citizen of Saudi Arabia died at the wheel of a car, this is the first such case since in the Kingdom issued a decree on the resolution of the led women, the newspaper reports Gulf News.

The woman learned to drive a car in Jeddah. Beside her was her husband, who gave her instructions, but she crashed into a concrete wall. The woman died on the spot, the man with injuries taken to hospital. The car belonged to the wife of the deceased.

In September Saudi Arabia’s king Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud issued a decree allowing women in the Kingdom to drive, and ordered to form a special Commission consisting of representatives of various agencies for implementation. It is expected that all preparations for the advent of women driving cars on the roads of the Kingdom will be completed by June 2018.
