The applications of such applicants for training will begin accepting 2018.
The decision has prompted criticism, including from representatives of the feminist movement.
The same criteria will apply to the students-transgender people who want to transfer to Murray Edwards from other schools.
The College Board has already approved changes in the policy of admission of students, explaining to them the fact that Murray Edwards, in the opinion of the Council, should remain an open environment.
“Many here at the College, are open to the idea of abinanti gender, we are concerned that the narrow confines of gender identity and related standards harm both the individual and society as a whole”, — reads the statement of the College.
“The College wants to support students who do not want to belong neither to the male nor to the female sex”, — stated in it.
