The decision to reduce the limits of duty free importation of goods by the Russians has not yet been made, discusses different options, told journalists in a press-service of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
Informed in materials of the Federal budget in 2018-2020, the state Duma, was prescribed a reduction in the threshold duty-free import of goods from 1 July 2018 up to 20 euros.
“Now we are discussing the issue of reducing the norms of duty-free importation of goods by individuals in order to create equal conditions for Russian and foreign retailers. First pay Russian VAT and other taxes, and the second — anything that creates unequal competitive conditions”, — noted in a press-service of the Ministry.
The representative of the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the relevant measure considered in the draft Federal budget, however, the lowering of the threshold has not yet been determined.
“This issue is under active discussion considered various proposals, but a decision on this matter is still pending,” — said the press service
