Putin noted the special role of Russia in ensuring energy security of Eurasia

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the participants of the first “Russian energy week”, noting the country’s role in ensuring energy security of Eurasia. The text of the telegram posted on Tuesday, October 3, on the official website of the Kremlin.

“Sustainable growth in today’s global economy is closely linked to energy security. And of course, this issue has a special role of Russia — one of the guarantors of energy security of Eurasia”, — said the head of state.

Putin stressed that on the grounds of the REN will bring together representatives of governments, major industrial companies, business circles and expert community from Russia and other countries. He expressed the hope that meaningful dialogue of participants of the forum will facilitate development of common approaches to the formation of the international energy agenda.

International forum on energy efficiency and energy development will be held in Moscow from 4 to 7 October. The forum will bring together heads of major international energy companies, leading experts, journalists. The aim of the event is to discuss current global energy agenda, defining the main directions of development of branches of FEC, writes TASS.

Yesterday it was reported that Russia and Saudi Arabia will establish a joint Fund of one billion dollars for energy investment. The final agreement will be reached during the visit of the Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud to Moscow.
