Navalny associate Leonid Volkov received 20 days of arrest

Ally of opposition leader Alexei Navalny Leonid Volkov received 20 days in jail for repeated violations of the organization of rallies and demonstrations. Such decision on Monday, October 2, took the Savelovsky court of Moscow, reports “Interfax”.

“Judge by results of consideration of case on administrative offense, recognized Volkova guilty under part 8 of article 20.2 of the administrative code. Given the aggravating and mitigating his blame circumstances, Volkov was appointed administrative punishment in the form of administrative arrest for 20 days”, — told the Agency the press-Secretary of the court of Constantine Tymoshenko.

Volkov was detained in Nizhny Novgorod, where on September 29 he came to the police Department to apply on obstruction of the rally Navalny. There it drew up an administrative report for violating the order of organizing the rally and taken to the airport to return to Moscow.

Earlier on Monday, the Simonovsky court of Moscow for the organization and appeals for participation in uncoordinated action for 20 days arrested and the Bulk. An unauthorized rally, organized by the staff of the policy, was held on 29 September in Nizhny Novgorod. There Bulk not included, as the morning of the same day were detained and released only in the evening from the police station, however, the court found that the opposition by using their own resources called for the holding of this event and participate in it.

In September Navalny held rallies in Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg and Murmansk. In October he planned some more actions in Russian cities, in particular the 7th of October it is expected to hold the event in St. Petersburg.
