U.S. Ambassador huntsman arrived in Russia

The new U.S. Ambassador Jon huntsman and his wife, Mary Kay huntsman arrived in Moscow. This was reported in the Twitter press-Secretary of the American Embassy Maria Olson.

“Welcome to Russia, Mr. Ambassador and Mrs. huntsman,” — said in a tweet.

Credentials to President of Russia Vladimir Putin the huntsman will be awarded on Tuesday, October 3, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the assistant to the Russian leader Yury Ushakov.

The huntsman is the head of the Atlantic Council, he also heads the Foundation for the fight against cancer. In 1992-1993 the huntsman held the post of U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, 2005-2009, was Governor of Utah, 2009-2011 — United States Ambassador to China. In 2011 announced its intention to participate in presidential elections as a candidate from the Republican party, but later supported MITT Romney.

In 2012, during the race the huntsman widely criticized policy of “reset” in relations between Russia and the United States, which was held by the Obama administration.
