In St. Petersburg detained a section chief mechanical works special transport service of Pulkovo airport. This is stated in the message of Severo-the Western investigatory management on transport SKR.
The investigating authorities believe that the detainee is responsible for the renovations of the ladder, which fell two passengers.
“During the interrogation as a suspect, he confessed. Currently considered the issue of electing a preventive measure”, — informs regional Department of the TFR.
The incident at Pulkovo occurred on September 28. At the exit of passengers from the aircraft to self-propelled ladder there is damage to the rotating part of the platform, causing the span of the ramp collapsed. With him on the pavement from a height of over three meters fell two passengers — 44-year-old woman with polutorogodovalogo granddaughter.
In the fall they received injuries and were hospitalized.
On the given fact criminal case under article 238 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“Rendering services not meeting requirements of safety of life or health of consumers”) and 266 (“Substandard repair of vehicles or other transport equipment”).
Turning part of the ladder platform has repeatedly undergone repair. In this regard, the investigation believes that the repairs are substandard.
In addition, against unidentified officials of the authorised Supervisory authority in the field of air transport initiated a criminal case on signs of the crime provided by article 293 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“the Negligence which has entailed on imprudence causing of heavy harm to health”).
