Seaside court of St.-Petersburg has arrested the collector of Rustam mavlyutova, who is accused of extortion of money from the debtors of microfinance institutions. On Saturday, September 30, RIA Novosti reported.
31-year-old Mavlyutov arrested until November 23.
He was arrested on Friday in Ulyanovsk on suspicion of extortion in the organized group. The sanction of article provides till seven years of imprisonment.
According to investigators, in 2017 in St. Petersburg collectors repeatedly extorted from clients of microfinance organizations, and also citizens who have no relationship to the debt money, many times exceeding the amount of the debt.
Investigators emphasize that the actions of the collectors were purely cynical and mocking in nature, they threatened to kill not only the victim, but also their babies.
For example, the pensioner who owed 40 thousand rubles of fines, he sent a photo of a granddaughter in mourning wreath. Later on his page on the social network have been found dozens of similar photos of different children.
