Washington can spend the funds on financing of protest actions in Russia on the eve of presidential elections to be held in 2018. With such a warning was made by Russian Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov at a meeting of the interim Commission of the Federation Council for the protection of state sovereignty.
“It is possible that part of the allocation under a new law means Washington will try to quit feeding the protest activity in our country. The Ministry of foreign Affairs jointly with other units of Executive authorities is closely monitoring this process,” said a senior diplomat.
According to forecasts Ryabkov, as you get closer to the date of the presidential elections in Russia “trying to influence the situation in the country, undermine internal stability, will not wane, but rather increase”.
“We need to approach these processes fully prepared”, — said the Deputy Minister, quoted by TASS.
