In the international coalition led by the U.S. deny that a unit of us special forces carried out via the positions of the “Islamic state” forces “Syrian democratic forces” (SDS). About this TASS on Monday, 25 September, said the representative of the headquarters of the coalition.
According to him, the relevant statements of Russia “are false”. “In order to ensure the safety of operations, we are not talking about missions or about the location of coalition forces, the troops of our partners”, — said in the headquarters.
There also noted that “such courtesy is Russian and Syrian forces, which are in the same combat zone with the goal of defeating a common enemy”. “For early release Syria from ISIS, we would be grateful if the Russians provided the same courtesy to the coalition forces and our partners”, — concluded the representative of the coalition.
On 24 September, the Russian defense Ministry said that special forces units of the U.S. armed forces “and ensure smooth promotion” SDS through fighting orders of terrorists.
“Meeting no resistance from ISIL militants, troops of SDS moving along the left Bank of the Euphrates river towards the town of Deir ez-Zor. As pointed out in the Ministry, the images show that special forces units are located at strong points of the previously-equipped militants. However, around these areas there are no traces of the assault, clashes with ISIS or the craters from the air strikes. “It can only talk about what all there are the US troops feel in areas held by terrorists in complete safety”, — stressed in the defense Ministry.
Grouping “Islamic state” (ISIS, ISIL) is prohibited in Russia.
