Ural regions form a common tourism concept

Chelyabinsk. September 22. INTERFAX-URAL — Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions will jointly develop the industrial and military-Patriotic tourism in the framework of an integrated tourist destination under the code name “Ural”.

In a press-service of the Ministry of culture of the Chelyabinsk region said on Friday the Agency “Interfax-Ural”, with the aim of developing a single concept that is to be included in the Federal target program on tourism development in 2019-2025.

Industrial tourism is planned to be developed in areas where there are existing enterprises in various industries (metallurgy, machine-building, light industry, weapons industry and enterprises of national art crafts).

“Every object needs to develop well-built infrastructure, as the industrial tourism is not only plants and factories, but also comfortable accommodation and quality service,” explained the Agency in the Ministry of culture.

Also the concept will include routes associated with sites and attractions of the regions. For example, the reserve “Arkaim” or the Tract Thresholds.

Held in September the Council of the Urals Federal district’s tourism offer to join the work on the development of industrial tourism were addressed to the other Ural regions.

“We have offered any region of the Urals to log in to the cluster as an independent entity and be included in the Federal program. Or participate in the development of the cluster, partly by providing their objects of industrial tourism for inclusion in the interregional routes,” the Ministry said.

The Minister of culture of Chelyabinsk region Alexey Betekhtin in 2017 is Chairman of the Board of UFD on tourism.
