Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov took part in the opening of a new plant in the special economic area “Stupino Square”. It is reported RIAMA on Friday, September 22.
At the plant “the Sun of Mexico” the Mexican company Gruma will produce tortillas, corn flour and chips. “Today we are witnessing the opening of a large enterprise, which every quarter will increase their production”, — said Vorobyov.
The ceremony also was attended by Minister of investment and innovation region Denis Butsaev, Deputy Governor Natalia Virtuoso, the representative of the company Gruma Juan Antonio gonzález Moreno and the Ambassador of Mexico in Russia, the rate Pensado Moreno.
Plant “Solntse Mexico” is located on an area of 68 hectares. His first turn is 11.9 thousand square meters. He was the second production site of the company Gruma in Russia. Their first project was launched in 2011 in Moscow in leased premises.
On 15 September it was reported that the authorities of Moscow region have made the Finnish companies Valio and Huhtamaki proposals for development in the region in 2018.
Plans Mexican entrepreneurs to invest in the construction in the Moscow region factory on manufacture brand Mexican tortillas and chips became known in 2014. Then it was noted that the new production will be designed to produce 15 thousand tons of products per year.
