Russia boycotted the speech Grybauskaite to the UN

Monday, September 18, during a meeting with UN Secretary-General antónio Guterres, the President of Lithuania said that from the Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2017” based on “threat to humanity”.

Later during the General debate, according to TASS, he said that Russia is preparing to attack Western countries. She stressed that the border of the Baltic countries and Poland “about one hundred thousand Russian troops involved in offensive military exercises “West-2017”. “The Kremlin fulfills scenario of an attack on its neighbors, attacks on the West,” she said.

In his keynote speech Grybauskaite said that the exercises are part of the information war and designed to spread fear, reports RIA Novosti.

The Russian defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that the exercise is not directed against third countries and are routine and defensive in nature.
