Rosobrnadzor: part of the schools awards alumni medals undeservedly
MOSCOW, 21 sen — news. Part of the Russian schools unfairly awards medals of graduates, said the Deputy head of the Federal service for supervision in education and science Anzor Muzaev.
Earlier the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergey Kravtsov asked regional Ministers of education to assess the objectivity of granting medals to graduates of schools.
“The documents that we checked out associated with medals, showed that the results are quite disappointing. Not all regions benefited from the provision of the law, and in some schools there is a basic distribution of the medals,” said Muzaev.
According to him, the situation is complicated by the fact that 135 of the state universities in Russia take into account the presence of medals in a portfolio and accrue them for additional points. He said that the decision on the issuance of medals taken by the school, and no one can affect it.
However Musayev believes that if all the regions were taken into account in indicator 220 points on results of three of the exam, the number of medal winners would be significantly reduced.
According to Rosobrnadzor, this year medals were awarded to about 70 thousand graduates of Russian schools.
