Valery Shantsev
The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev, making comments on messages on possible resignation stated that it continues to work on a post of the head region. His words leads TASS on Thursday, September 21.
“When you’re going [to go] then say… I work up to 22 hours, itemized schedule,” — said Shantsev.
Informed on Thursday “Interfax” citing a source close to the Governor said that Shantsev is not going to resign. “Shantsev is full of energy and desire to work further”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
Yesterday, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that Valery Shantsev is leaving his post. According to the newspaper, finally decided at the meeting of the head region with the leadership of the presidential administration. On the probability of retirement Shantsev until the end of the year, the newspaper reported on 7 September.
70-year-old Shantsev was appointed Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region in 2005. In 2014 he took part in the direct elections of the Governor. As a result, it scored 86 percent.
