The white house has denied reports that the US will come out of the Paris climate agreement

WASHINGTON, September 17. /TASS/. The white house denied on Saturday a U.S. media that the United States will not withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. About the position of Washington was told by the Deputy press Secretary of the President of Lindsay waters.

“The U.S. position on Paris agreement has not changed,” — said in a statement the White house statement. According to waters, in early June President Donald trump “made it clear that the United States, out (of the agreement)” if only they will not be offered “more favorable terms”.

On Saturday, the newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported that the US administration will not withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, however, will try to adjust the conditions of their participation in it. Trump said that the Treaty redistributes American wealth to other countries, and the implementation of its provisions may bring US loss of 2.7 million jobs by 2025.

The Paris agreement was made on 12 December 2015 in the end of the 21st conference of the framework Convention on climate change in Paris. 195 participants of the forum agreed not to allow the increase in the average temperature of the planet by the year 2100 more than 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. Scientists believe that a more significant increase in temperature can lead to irreversible consequences for the environment. The Paris agreement should replace the Kyoto Protocol, the validity of which will expire in 2020.
