Lenin Moreno

The President of Ecuador Lenin Moreno became aware that his office installed the camera worked for about eight years. About this he wrote on Twitter.

“I’m in shock and furious! Hidden camera in my office, which is controlled remotely. It is a crime against private life,” wrote Moreno.

He noted that the camera was installed by his predecessor Rafael Correa, who held the post from 2007 to 2017.

Moreno also wrote that Correa can get images from the camera on your phone. The Prosecutor’s office was instructed to start an investigation into the findings.

Moreno assumed the position of head of state on may 24, 2017. As a result of wounds received in the attack of robbers in 1998, the President of Ecuador is paralyzed in the lower body. He moves on a wheelchair. Since 2013 he holds the position of special envoy of the UN Secretary General on disability and accessibility. For activities to assist people with disabilities has been nominated for the Nobel peace prize in 2012.
