The speaker of the Petersburg Parliament declared Russia the last hope of God on Earth

Vyacheslav Makarov

The speaker of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov congratulated the Orthodox faithful gathered for a procession from the stage at the Alexander Nevsky square. About it reports to “Fontanka”.

“Russia is the last hope of God on Earth, and the Lord invisibly protects Russia from enemies and stores it to the heavenly will”, — the newspaper quoted the politician.

Makarov has reminded that 100 years ago in Russia there have been two revolutions, which caused civil conflict. He linked these events with the murder of the Emperor and his family. “The authority of the king was allowed to be invincible great Russia”, — concluded the speaker of the legislative Assembly.

The procession started in St. Petersburg in the afternoon of 12 September. According to police, the procession was attended by more than 100 thousand people. For events timed to the day of the relics of Alexander Nevsky, the authorities closed the traffic almost around the Nevsky prospect. This provoked traffic jams in the city centre, says “Driver Petersburg”.

62-year-old Makarov is the author of over 60 scientific papers, has the highest military, economic and legal education. Served in the space forces.
