Moscow, 13 September, “Vesti. Economy.” Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved financing of the Federal target program “Development of spaceports for the period 2017-2025 gg. in the security space activities of the Russian Federation”. About it Dmitry Medvedev said at a government meeting on Wednesday, September 13. As noted, the allocated funds from the budget will create the ground infrastructure for the launch of “the entire spectrum of perspective rockets”.

It aims to maintain our position in the space sector to ensure guaranteed and independent access of Russia into space. We must take a number of steps for solution of scientific tasks to ensure the interests of defense and security, for performance of commercial projects in space. For this purpose, the programme budget is planned to allocate 340 billion rubles in order to create our spaceports ground-based space infrastructure for the start-up of the entire spectrum of perspective rockets”.
