Reshetnikov scored over 80 percent on elections of the head of the Perm region

The Governor of the Perm edge Maxim Reshetnikov scored 82.6 percent of votes on elections of the head region. This was stated in a local electoral Commission after processing 100 percent of ballots, according to RIA Novosti.

On the second place — Irina Filatova from the Communist party with 7,49% of votes on the third — Oleg Postnikov from the liberal democratic party with 3.8 percent. The election was also attended by Vladimir Alikin from “Fair Russia” and Andrey Stepanov from “Patriots of Russia”.

The final turnout in the elections in the Perm region was 42.5 percent.

In the Perm region, which in 2005 was formed by the merger of Perm oblast and Komi-Permyak Autonomous district, gubernatorial elections were held for the first time. Previous governors of the territory were appointed. In the Perm region last elections of the head of the region took place in 2000.

Reshetnikova to the region was headed by the former Minister of regional development of Russia Victor Basargin. Since February of this year he headed the Federal Agency for transport supervision. Instead, the interim Governor was appointed Maxim Reshetnikov. Since 2009 he worked in Moscow in recent years headed the Department of economic policy of the capital.
