Putin awarded former Ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak order of Alexander Nevsky

MOSCOW, September 11. /TASS/. Former Russian Ambassador in Washington Sergey Kislyak awarded the order of Alexander Nevsky. The corresponding decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin published on Monday on an official portal of legal information.

“For his great contribution to the implementation of the foreign policy of the Russian Federation award: order of Alexander Nevsky Kislyak, Sergei Ivanovich – Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, city of Moscow”, – the document says.

Kislyak held the post of Russian Ambassador to USA from 2008 to 2017. Prior to that, he held the post of Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (2003-2008), Russian Ambassador to Belgium and concurrently permanent representative of Russia to NATO (1998-2003).
