The excess hydrogen sulfide content of 2.4% recorded in the South-East of Moscow

Rosprirodnadzor began a check of the enterprises in the East and South-East of the capital.

MOSCOW, September 10. /TASS/. “Mosekomonitoring” in the evening on Saturday recorded the excess of maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of hydrogen sulfide in air is 2.4 times in the South-East of the capital — near the Printers. The excess concentration of the substance was observed within three hours from 19:00 to 21:00. This is stated in the materials of environmental services.

The excess emissions identified automatic monitoring station “Guryanov”, controlling the condition of air in the zone of influence of the Kuryanovo water treatment facilities of Mosvodokanal.

Since the beginning of September stations “Mosekomonitoring” — “Kozhukhovo” and “Zhulebino” — repeatedly documented excessive concentration of hydrogen sulphide in the air of the capital. They control the MPC in the zone of influence of a waste Incinerator No. 4 landfill “Kuchino” and Lyubertsy treatment facilities, “Mosvodokanal”.

Due to emissions Rosprirodnadzor began a check of businesses on the East and South-East. In the investigation of the experts have revealed the exceeding of hydrogen sulfide concentration at the lyubersty wastewater treatment facilities.

Checks are also in the area of the polygon “Kuchino”, at the Kuryanovo treatment facilities, objects of the Moscow oil refinery and Incinerator No. 4. In addition, we study the activity of point of waste sorting, OOO “UK “Cusor”, “PC Foraluminium”. On all revealed facts of exceedances instituted administrative proceedings under article 8.21 of the administrative code.
