The performer of country music don Williams died Friday, September 8, at the age of 78 years, reports Reuters with reference to his representative. It is reported that the cause of death was illness, there are no other details.

Williams, whose career lasted five decades, is widely known in the 1970s — 1980s years. His most famous hits was Tulsa Time, I Believe in You and It Must Be Love.

Williams was inducted into the Hall of fame of country music in 2010. In 2014 he released his latest Studio album, Reflections. Two years later he announced the end of the tour, saying that “it’s time to hang his hat and relax a bit at home.”

On the same day, September 8, in a plane crash in new Jersey crashed singer Troy gentry, who represented a group of artists, country music Montgomery Gentry.
