Trump for a year extended the embargo against Cuba
WASHINGTON, September 9. /TASS/. US President, Donald trump has decided to extend until September 24, 2018 restrictions applicable to Cuba.
This is stated in the statement of the American leader, the press service of the White house.
Trump notes that the period of the embargo, acting on the basis of a special law, will expire on September 14 of this year. “I decided that extension of these measures against Cuba for one year in the interests of the United States,” — said the head of state.
In June, trump said the abolition of certain decisions of his predecessor, Barack Obama, concerning the normalization of relations with Havana. In particular, it abolished the rules of travel to Cuba for U.S. citizens and a ban on doing business with organizations controlled by the Cuban military. But Washington broke off diplomatic relations with Havana and closed the Embassy in Cuba.
