Putin instructed to study cases of failure in the Crimea in the Russian citizenship

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin instructed to review the cases of refusal to grant Russian citizenship to persons living in the Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol. This was reported on the Kremlin website.

To execute the order to the government of Russia jointly with the presidential administration, Ministry of interior and Ministry of foreign Affairs, Executive authorities of the Crimean regions with participation of the Supreme court of Russia.

The President in this regard has set the task to take measures on exclusion of cases of unjustified refusal of Russian citizenship, “in compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation of terms of consideration of applications and adoption of decisions on them”.

The list of orders of the President approved the results of his working trip to Sevastopol, August 18-20, 2017. In the list, in particular, is the provision in 2018-2020 from the Federal budget financial assistance to Sevastopol, ensuring the continued development of the Museum-reserve “Chersonese”, the calculation of years of service to the residents of the Crimea with regard to their service in the Ukrainian power structures.
