The border guards found two caches with 8.5 tons of caviar on the Kamchatka Peninsula

On Kamchatka frontier guards found two caches, which were containers with salmon caviar a total weight of 8.5 tons. This was reported by RIA Novosti in the press service of border guard of the FSB in the Eastern Arctic region on Thursday 7 September.

“According to preliminary calculations, the total damage caused to water bioresources, and more than 28 million rubles,” — said the border guard.

The owners of the caches are set.

According to authorities, during the current salmon season from poachers have seized more than 19 tons of caviar.

August 30, the police, the FSB, Regardie and Rosselkhoznadzor, has detected more than 200 plastic containers with red caviar weighing more than five tons. All of the products were stored in an abandoned house, located 136 kilometers from the village of Keys of the Kamchatka region. Police establish who owned the warehouse.
