Syria and Israel at the same time expressed interest in purchasing Russian military machine tank support (BMPT) “Terminator”. On Thursday, 7 September, said chief armored Directorate of the Ministry of defense of Russia Alexander Shevchenko, reports “Interfax”.
Shevchenko also said that the Russian army will receive this kind of armored in 2017. The Ministry of defense has signed with “Uralvagonzavod” to supply the BMPT “Terminator” at the August forum “Army-2017”.
“To date, the machine has successfully passed all kinds of tests, and design documentation has O1, which allows you to start serial production”, — said Shevchenko.
Modern sample BMPT-72 “Terminator-2” is made on the chassis of T-72 and first shown in 2013. Machine weighing 44 tons armed with two 30-millimeter automatic cannon 2A42, 7.62 mm PKT machine-guns and four launch containers for missiles of the family 9М120 (the “Attack”) and two automatic 30-mm grenade launchers AG-17D.
