The US state Department has expressed a desire to stop the policy of “an eye for an eye” in relations with Russia

Moscow. September 7. INTERFAX.RU — the United States would like to have relations with Russia improved, said Thursday the official representative of U.S. state Department’s Heather Nauert.

“We have already talked about the fact that our relations with Russia are at a low point — we would want this relationship improved,” she said at a briefing at the state Department.

“We would not want to continue this policy of “tit for tat” in diplomacy (between the US and Russia — Interfax)”, — she added.

“There are too many issues where we could, we would like to have the opportunity to cooperate with Russia, one of them is Syria, where the cease-fire lasts, how much? Two months? Six weeks? Something like that, but we welcome that,” said Neuert.

“We hope that relations can improve, we hope that we reached a low point, and then everything will just get better,” added the spokesman.
