The court sent to jail a 15-year-old Michael P. from Moscow, Ivanteevka. He started shooting in high school, threw homemade firecrackers and attacked the teacher. The judge’s decision, the teenager will remain in detention until 5 November.

Basmanny district court of Moscow on Thursday, September 7, decided to be held in detention until 5 November, 15-year-old Michael P., opened fire in the school in Ivanteevka. The decision was announced by judge Elena Lenskaya, the correspondent of RBC from the courtroom.

The defense asked to elect the measure of restraint for Mikhail in the form of house arrest.

As stated to journalists by the lawyer Victor Zaprudsky, this measure would allow Michael to continue his studies.

Michael P. is suspected of committing a crime under part 3 of article 213 of the criminal code (hooliganism committed with application of explosives). He was arrested on 5 September in Ivanteevskiy school № 1. On 6 September it was reported that the Investigative Committee has supplemented the indictment with respect to Michael’s article “attempt at murder” (part 3 of article 30, paragraph a, b, e, and part 2 of article 105 of the criminal code).

The student came to class late in the tibia and a long cloak, science teacher Lyudmila Kalmykova made a remark to him, and then Michael attacked her with a hammer for cutting meat, told RBC a source in the Main Department of internal Affairs across Moscow region. After Michael threw a “pyrotechnic device”, in the building there was a slight inflammation, which was resolved prior to arrival of fire brigades, told RBC in the Department of information policy of Settlement.
