Putin awarded the order of Friendship by Vice-Premier of the state Council of the PRC

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded order of Friendship by Vice-Premier of the state Council of China Wang Yang, head of the Chinese delegation at the Eastern economic forum (WEF). On Wednesday, September 6, reports TASS.

“I want to emphasize that you personally are doing a lot to develop Russian-Chinese relations, Putin said. In this regard, I signed a decree on awarding you the order of Friendship”.

The award will be presented by the Chairman of the RF government Dmitry Medvedev.

The head of state noted that Wang Yang has been active in Russia: previously, he visited Volgograd, where he held talks with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, and after participating in the WEF Chinese politician will go to Khabarovsk to take part in the intergovernmental Commission on the development of cooperation between the Russian Far East and northeastern China.

Putin recalled that at the WEF in 2016 was attended by 200 Chinese companies and signed contracts worth nearly 2 trillion rubles. The total amount of investment, investments from China in the Russian far East over the past two years amounted to more than 3 billion.

“This is very active work on the implementation of our agreements with the President of China” — he said, expressing confidence that the WEF 2017 will be no less fruitful for the Chinese side.

WEF 2017 is held in Vladivostok from 6 to 7 September. The forum was attended by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, South Korean President moon Jae-In and President of Mongolia Khaltmagiin Battulga.
