Putin instructed to submit to the UN security Council resolution on deployment of peacekeepers in the Donbass
XIAMEN /China/, September 5. /TASS/. Russia will submit to UN security Council resolution on the deployment of UN peacekeepers on the demarcation line in the Donbass to ensure the security of OSCE personnel.
This was stated to journalists by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a press conference on the results of the BRICS summit.
According to him, the placement of UN forces, ensuring the safety of the OSCE mission in Donbass, will benefit “the problem in the South-East of Ukraine.”
“The Minister [of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov] here, we assume that the order of the Ministry of foreign Affairs to introduce a resolution in the Security Council,” added Putin.
The Russian President stressed that the deployment of UN forces is only possible after the removal of the arms and when reaching agreement on this issue with representatives of the proclaimed republics of Donbass.
