Moscow. September 5. INTERFAX.RU — house arrest directed by Kirill Serebrennikov doesn’t mean he is guilty of something, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Despite the fact that it (pieces of silver — if) is under house arrest — it does not mean that he is guilty of something. He is guilty or not, can only be determined by the court,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday in China Xiamen.
The President noted that “by Serebrennikov from the government no questions, except one: respect for the law in the use of budget money”.
Putin noted that the work Serebrennikov can be treated in different ways, but “if the government is funding — so, it is at least neutral and allows the artist to create, to work.”
