“During the ceremony I said: “the Order of Friendship of peoples”, this award was in Soviet times, and now — the order of Friendship. Putin told me — I promised him that this won’t happen again. And I one time instead of “medal of Honor” said, “the order “badge of Honor””. Also received a comment from the President. This, of course, a shame,” said the announcer.

He also explained the reason he failed on the first attempt to pronounce the name of interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev during a ceremony of the exchange agreements, which were signed by Russia and Uzbekistan in April.

“The speakers always read slightly forward, eyes looking at the text that goes on. After the name of the Minister of internal Affairs of Russia it was necessary to pronounce the name of his colleagues from Uzbekistan, and I fixated on it, so much so that I couldn’t pronounce the name of Vladimir Kolokoltseva,” explained Horoshavtsev.

He added that the most difficult to pronounce, in his opinion, are Mongolian names.
