MOSCOW, September 5. /TASS/. The initiative of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the deployment of UN peacekeepers on the demarcation line in the Donbass to ensure the safety of the OSCE mission solves several problems at once, depriving the Ukrainian government of the necessity to counter alleged Russian aggression. This opinion was expressed on Tuesday by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev.
According to him, the designated President of the Russian Federation conditions – limit the task of peacekeepers by the function of the protection of the OSCE mission, their presence only on the demarcation line and ensuring the withdrawal of troops and armaments in agreement with the DNI and LC – don’t leave “no loopholes for Kiev”.
