“Good wine”: the court announced the details of the arrest of the speaker

In the Zamoskvoretsky district court of Moscow has passed the third session on criminal case of the former Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev. The court heard the testimony of the third witness, who did not differ from the previous readings.

In the Zamoskvoretsky district court of Moscow has passed the third session on criminal case of the former Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev. He is accused of receiving a bribe in 2 million dollars for a positive assessment of the transaction on purchase “Rosneft” the state package of shares of “Bashneft”.

Good wine

At the hearing, the Prosecutor read a statement from the head of the security service of “Rosneft” Oleg Feoktistov to the Director of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov. According to Feoktistov, the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin has informed him that the speaker allegedly demanded a bribe of $ 2 million, threatening the company’s “financial losses”.

Statement in addition to Feoktistov signed, and Sechin. Lawyer Timothy Gridnev, representing the speaker drew the attention of the judge that earlier this statement of Sechin in the case was not mentioned, however, prosecutors insisted that it was also signed by Feoktistov, the head of “Rosneft”.

Reading out the statement Feoktistov and Sechin, the Prosecutor read the “report on the crime” from November 14, submitted to the head of the economic security service (SEB) FSB Ivan Tkachev. On this day, November 14, Ulyukayev was detained at the exit from the office of “Rosneft”.

The car in which he was riding was blocked by the FSB. In the trunk found the bag — the speaker announced that he was taking it good wine, given to him by Sechin. Then, as stated by the Prosecutor at the meeting, Ulyukayev proposed to return to the office of “Rosneft” — on the street it was cold.

The Minister did not get a bag from the trunk of the car, it was done by the staff of the FSB. Key bags keychain speaker took from his pocket, saying that he, too, gave Sechin.

Further, in the presence of witnesses in the bag, found the money — 20 packs of bills $100 and several polymeric packages with dollars, said at a meeting of the Prosecutor. The report concludes that the process was recorded on audio and video, and a bag of bills and pre-treated with a special solution.

Thus he the speaker insists that the office of “Rosneft” on November 14 he came to talk about the company. The court was read a transcript of that conversation, it became clear that Sechin recorded the conversation on issued to him by the FSB recorder.

It follows from this that the speaker and Sechin during their meeting really spoke mainly on the work of “Rosneft”. In the end Sechin Ulyukayev reported that a certain “mission accomplished.”

“Here, take it. And key just in case. Basket take,” he says.

The third witness

At the first meeting the attorney only had time to read the indictment, the second questioned two witnesses. It was the Director of a Rosneft Department for relations with investors Andrey Baranov and the Director of the Department of corporate governance Ministry of economic development Oksana Tarasenko.

Both in his testimony referred to by the media, both pointed out that initially the speaker publicly opposed the deal. In this case, both witnesses acknowledged that the speaker personally subsequently did not prevent the purchase of shares of “Bashneft”, “Rosneft”.

On Tuesday, the court heard testimony from only one witness — the leading adviser of Department of corporate governance Ministry of economic development Yulia Moskvitina. As the correspondent of Russian service Bi-bi-si, when she began to speak, the speaker covered his face with his hands.

Testimony Moskvitina almost did not contradict the testimony of previous witnesses. The only significant difference between them concerned letters to the government about the possible privatization of “Bashneft”.

Tarasenko argued that the speaker crossed out a paragraph describing the positive effect of the transaction, Moskvitina said that the Minister did not expunged. “No orders to delay, to postpone the privatization of “Bashneft” we have not received,” says Moskvitina.

During the questioning of a witness at the hearing, the Prosecutor specifically said, delete the speaker whether any of the report to the government on the participation of Rosneft in the acquisition of a stake in Bashneft. Moskvitina said that the report was corrected. “But what [changed], I can’t tell,” she added.
