Tymoshenko said about the collapse of Ukraine’s economy
The head of fraction of party “Batkivshchyna” in the Verkhovna Rada Yulia Tymoshenko said that Ukraine’s economy has collapsed. She said this on Monday, 4 September, reports the portal “Obozrevatel”.
“Over the last three years gross national product per capita declined by 31.9 percent. It’s the economic collapse, the complete collapse of all strategies. And all this the result of the statement by the President and the government 144 of reforms”, — said Tymoshenko.
She added that according to the UN, in terms of happiness Ukraine is in last ten among all countries in the world, along with Botswana, the Central African Republic and Venezuela. “Such a tragedy in Ukraine has not experienced ever! People in the country was driven into a deadlock”, — the Deputy was indignant. She stressed that about 60 percent of Ukrainians after the “glorious three-year reform” are below the poverty line.
Tymoshenko said that Ukraine is a leader in Europe and in infant mortality and mortality of women in childbirth, calling it an unprecedented performance. According to her, the country is also a catastrophic inflation. “Ukraine — on the 136 place, and for us — only Venezuela. Here are the results of these reforms,” she said.
In early June, the sociological group “Rating” has published the results of a study according to which the majority of citizens of Ukraine — 85 percent — believe the country is in a state of chaos. Meanwhile, 65 percent of respondents the main reasons for this called the lack of professionalism and corruption in the current government.
