Hurricane “Harvey” damaged 13 sites of toxic waste in Texas

After the storm “Harvey” in Texas were flooded or partially damaged, 13 objects with highly toxic waste, according to the Agency for the protection of the United States environmental protection Agency (EPA).

The Agency notes that while it is impossible to fully assess the impact of damage on the environment of the region. EPA was able to learn about the damages by using pictures from the air. Experts have looked only two objects of the 13. According to the Agency, none of the objects does not need emergency measures. On 11 objects will pass, when will come the flood.

“Teams are now in place to determine the possible damage (11 others) as descend, the flood and staff can safely get to the objects”, — reports the Agency.

We will remind, hurricane “Harvey” became the most destructive in the U.S. for the past 12 years. The total death toll was 47.
