The US President Donald trump has asked Congress to 7.85 billion dollars from the reserve funds of the state as initial funding for the liquidation of damages caused by that hit Texas hurricane “Harvey”. About it reports Reuters.
As noted, trump originally planned to make a request for funds in the amount of 5.95 billion dollars, but this amount was insufficient.
7.4 billion will be directed to the Federal Agency on management in emergency situations, another 450 million Management on Affairs of small business.
On 1 September it was reported that trump will donate one million dollars of his personal funds to fight the consequences of the hurricane “Harvey”.
Hurricane “Harvey” hit the Texas on the night of 26 August. First, he appropriated the fourth category of danger, but then reduced to the level of a tropical storm and then tropical depression.
Maximum sustained wind speeds of at the peak of the hurricane reached 215 kilometres per hour. Due to the hurricane and the ensuing floods killed 48 people. The element of inflicted damage of 100 billion dollars.
