MOSCOW, September 1 — RIA Novosti. U.S. Senator Bob Corker welcomed the White house decision on the closure of diplomatic facilities of the Russian Federation on the territory of the United States.
“The actions of the President of trump and his administration are absolutely justified, I’m glad they gave a signal of readiness to the next steps, if necessary,” said the Senator from Tennessee, quoted by the Tennessean newspaper.
The US on Thursday evening announced new limitations in activities of Russian diplomatic missions in the United States, according to which from September 2 to close the Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco and consular properties in Washington and new York.
Earlier Moscow in response to the closure of diplomatic facilities in the United States and the expulsion of diplomats ordered to Washington to reduce the number of diplomatic missions in Russia up to 455 people, bringing them to equal the number of Russian personnel in the United States.
