The Stockholm resident was fined for eating bacon in front of Muslim women
Moscow. September 1. INTERFAX.RU — a Resident of Stockholm, who ate bacon before Muslim, was convicted of offensive behaviour, according to marsta.nu.
According to the indictment, the 53-year-old man during a trip to the suburban train defiantly began to eat the bacon in front of three Muslim women in hijabs.
And after they move to other places, and consciously followed them, to continue to annoy them kind eat pork. The man said in court that went after them to apologize if they were offended. The incident lasted only a few minutes.
A man accused of insulting the feelings of Muslims and inciting hatred on racial or ethnic grounds, however, the last paragraph of the charges were dropped for lack of evidence.
However, because he hurt the feelings of Muslim women, the court sentenced him to a fine of 9 million Swedish kronor ($1120) and awarded each of them 5 thousand Swedish kronor ($630) as compensation for moral damage.
