In the building of Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco, closed by the decision of the American authorities, on 2 September it is planned to carry out a search. About it in the message on the website of the Russian foreign Ministry said the official representative of the Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“U.S. intelligence agencies bent on September 2 to conduct a search in the Consulate General in San Francisco, including the homes of employees living in his building and having the immune system, which ordained that they and their families, including young children and even infants for 10-12 hours left occupied premises”, — said Zakharov. She emphasized that these requirements “constitute a direct threat to the security of Russian citizens”.
Zakharova condemned the actions of the American authorities. “We are talking about the invasion of the Consulate and the homes of diplomats, and they themselves put out, not to interfere with agents of the FBI,” she explained.
According to Zakharova, similar US actions aggravate “the already difficult atmosphere of bilateral dialogue” and “undermine the possibility for interaction.”
Zakharova also commented on the requirement for the closure of the Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco who was brought to Washington yesterday. “This step is a new flagrant violation of international law, including obligations of States under the Vienna conventions on diplomatic and consular relations”, she said.
