The residents of China will be punished for disrespect to the national anthem the song “March of the volunteers”. It is reported by Channel News Asia, citing the new law.
Now the anthem is forbidden to use in advertising and as background music, and include at funerals and other inappropriate cases. It is also impossible to do a parody or distorted version. If the anthem is performed during public events, all visitors must stand up and sing it.
For violation of the provisions of the new law can be accessed under administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
The purpose of a legal act is “to protect the honor of the national anthem,” “promote patriotism” and to “support basic socialist values”.
Similar provisions will also be incorporated into the laws of the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau.
